Volleyball Recap: Peyton Beatty Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Frankfort

The Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs got the win against the Frankfort Panthers on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Paul Laurence Dunbar took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-8, 25-15.

Paul Laurence Dunbar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Beatty, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Beatty has posted over her last nine matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Claire Barnes, who had five digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Paul Laurence Dunbar was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Paul Laurence Dunbar now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Frankfort, their loss was their 13th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-23.
