Baseball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wesleyan Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Calvary Day School Cougars as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Nick Papciak made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Cole Bowman and Blake Goff did most of the damage at the plate: Bowman went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Goff scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Goff posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Domaine Vann, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's record is now 5-6. As for Calvary Day School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
