Soccer Game Preview: Glenbard East vs. Wheaton Academy

The Glenbard East Rams are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Wheaton Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Glenbard East is leaving town to face Wheaton Academy after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Glenbard East lost 4-0 to Waubonsie Valley on Monday. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Rams struggled afterwards.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wheaton Academy and Benet Academy meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. Wheaton Academy came up short against Benet Academy, falling 8-1. The Warriors have struggled against the Redwings recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.
