Basketball Recap: Delta Eagles vs. Northeastern Knights
After losing to Northeastern the last time they met, Delta decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles snuck past the Knights with a 46-42 win on Tuesday.

Delta had a senior duo take command as Jillian Barr dropped a double-double with 11 points and 17 boards and Elizabeth Bamidele posted 11 points and four steals. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Barr. The team also got some help courtesy of Griffyn Knight, who scored seven points and five assists.
Delta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Despite the loss, Northeastern still got an impressive performance from Mackenzie Johnson, who had 14 points and seven boards. Fiona Breitenbach was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.
Delta's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Northeastern, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Looking ahead, Delta will host Blackford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Northeastern, they have already played their next game, an 81-45 win against Twin Valley South on the 3rd.
