Softball Recap: Alamo Heights' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Boerne-Champion, Alamo Heights was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Boerne Greyhounds by a score of 14-9. Considering the Mules' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Elle Leavitt, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Katie Boyd was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Alamo Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .425. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win snapped Alamo Heights' losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-14 record. As for Boerne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Alamo Heights and Boerne will both be playing Pieper the next time they take the field. The Mules will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Greyhounds will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
