Preview: Linden Tigers vs. Franklin Warriors
The Linden Tigers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Franklin Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Sunday, Linden's game was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Newark Collegiate Academy by a score of 63-53.
Linden had a senior duo take command as Nas Robinson scored 26 points along with two steals and Elijah Butler dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Butler is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jekhi Burnam, who scored five points along with three blocks.
Meanwhile, Franklin scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They managed a 78-72 victory over Gill St. Bernard's.
Linden's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Linden didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Franklin when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-43 win. Will Linden repeat their success, or does Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
