Baseball Game Preview: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Grandview Wolves

Arapahoe is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Grandview is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Warriors will welcome the Wolves at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Arapahoe came out on top against Mullen on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mustangs 5-4. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

Cain Gostenik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Grandview sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Mullen on Monday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Arapahoe has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.67 runs across that stretch. As for Grandview, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
