Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost to Melbourne back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellowjackets lost 11-4 to the Bearkatz. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grady Pitcock made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Kyson Owens was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Melbourne, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Mountain View will take on Marshall at 2:29 p.m. on Friday. Melbourne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
