Softball Recap: Herndon's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Herndon was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Chantilly last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Herndon fell just short of the Langley Saxons by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Herndon fell to 2-1. As for Langley, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herndon will welcome Wakefield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Herndon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Langley, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Westfield at 6:00 p.m.
