Softball Recap: Lithonia Bulldogs vs. Clarkston Angoras
Lithonia never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Clarkston on Tuesday. They blew past the Clarkston Angoras 21-3. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matchups by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Shamiya Williams was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Williams was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Lithonia let Akira Montgomery and Jasmine Green loose on the outfield. Montgomery went 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI, while Green scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Green a new career-high in hits. Kayla Washington was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
