Softball Recap: Briarcrest Christian Takes a Loss

Northpoint Christian hit Briarcrest Christian with a 12-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints lost 16-3 to the Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Sydney Erwin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Briarcrest Christian and nudges their season record down to 4-15. As for Northpoint Christian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Looking ahead, Briarcrest Christian will welcome Millington Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northpoint Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Harding Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
