Ozark waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Incarnate Word Academy Red Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ozark easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-19.

Tara Venable paced Ozark's offense, picking up ten kills. Venable got some help from Alexis Andela and her four assists. Bradie Soloman controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Incarnate Word Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Avery Buckley had 15 assists and six digs. Buckley is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Ozark's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Incarnate Word Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Ozark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Rock Bridge on the 13th. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lee's Summit North on the 13th.
