Shadow Hills hadn't done well against Rancho Mirage recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Knights managed an 18-14 victory over the Rattlers. Those 18 points were actually the fewest the Knights have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

A big part of Shadow Hills' win came down to the chemistry between Shaheem Sama and his top target Brandon Peffers. Sama picked up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown while Peffers picked up 93 receiving yards and one score. Jesse Rodriguez also helped out by tossing the rock for 297 yards.

Shadow Hills didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Rancho Mirage to a completion percentage of just 20%. That defensive display was nothing new: the Knights have limited their opponent to a lower and lower completion percentage in three consecutive matchups.

Shadow Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zay Woodson and Francisco Franco. Franco is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. David Caris was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles.

Shadow Hills' record is now 4-2. As for Rancho Mirage, their record now sits at 3-3.
