Football Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Caldwell extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5-1. They were beaten by the Sealy Tigers 72-12. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Sealy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sealy had a senior duo take command as Kane Killough rushed for 103 yards and two TDs on only eight carries and Caleb Labba rushed for 57 yards and three scores on only six carries. The Tigers also got a significant boost from Alan Williams, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Coming up, Caldwell will head out on the road to square off against Bellville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets' defense better be ready for this one: the Brahmas have averaged an impressive 28.3 points per game this season. As for Sealy, they will welcome La Grange at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Leopards' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
