Basketball Game Preview: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Tyler Lions

The Whitehouse Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Tyler Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Whitehouse will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Whitehouse had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 39-point drubbing they dealt Nacogdoches on Wednesday. The Wildcats blew past the Dragons 67-28. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Tyler faced off against Lufkin on Wednesday. The Lions fell 62-49 to the Panthers.

Whitehouse's win bumped their record up to 32-0. As for Tyler, their loss dropped their record down to 15-18.

Whitehouse beat Tyler 46-37 when the teams last played back in December of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
