Softball Recap: Tokay Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tokay waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Stagg Delta Kings get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Delta Kings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

Brooklyn Jeremic-Schaede 2027 was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hannah Nava 2025, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Pasqualicchio 2028, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Tokay now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Stagg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3.

Tokay has already played their next matchup, a 14-4 win against Edison on the 9th. As for Stagg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Bear Creek on the 10th.
