Basketball Recap: Jack Williams and Jackson Smith Secure Win for Walhalla

After losing to Crescent the last time they met, Walhalla decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Walhalla Razorbacks came out on top against the Crescent Tigers by a score of 46-34 on Tuesday.

Walhalla was led to victory by Jackson Smith and Jack Williams. Smith posted eight points and 17 rebounds, while Williams scored 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Williams has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Jacob Wise also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Crescent lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Max Locke, who had six points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Philip Deveaux, who put up seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Walhalla's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15. As for Crescent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.

Walhalla has already played their next contest, a 57-44 loss against Pendleton on the 31st. As for Crescent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-44 victory against West-Oak on the 31st.
