Baseball Recap: Bellevue West Wins Going Away Against Lincoln Southeast

Bellevue West lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lincoln Southeast, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Thunderbirds blew past the Knights 16-6 on Saturday. This was payback for the Thunderbirds, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Aiden Ensor was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Pinneo, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Ensor wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bellevue West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Bellevue West's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lincoln Southeast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
