Volleyball Recap: Lakeview Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lakeview waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Ord Chanticleers by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Lakeview easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18.

Rallie Boyer paced Lakeview's offense, picking up eight kills. Boyer got some help from Grace Dawson and her 24 assists. Dawson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Ord still got an impressive performance from Payton Bruha, who had four digs and four aces.

Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Ord, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Lakeview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Scotus on the 4th. As for Ord, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Malcolm on the 4th.
