Baseball Recap: Meadville Gets the Win

Meadville won the last time they faced Erie and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Royals by a score of 6-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Aj Feleppa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Meadville is 5-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Henry Desantis-Biggs was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Ian Miller, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meadville's record is now 8-10. As for Erie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Meadville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-0 loss against DuBois on the 27th. As for Erie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against McDowell on the 21st.
