Basketball Recap: Cedar Comes Up Short

Cedar extended their losing streak to seven on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-7. The contest between the Reds and the Snow Canyon Warriors didn't end well, with the Reds falling 67-53. The Reds were down 53-31 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Cedar still got an impressive performance from Owen Ryan, who posted 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Ryan, who had ten points.

As for Snow Canyon, the victory got them back to even at 4-4. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Cedar: they've now won seven in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Snow Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Issaiah Thompson, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points and seven boards. What's more, Thompson posted four assists, the most he's had since back in January. Dylan Luke was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 16 points.

Cedar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-51 victory against Canyon View on the 19th. As for Snow Canyon, they have also already played their next game, a 49-44 win against Desert Hills on the 19th.
