Recap: Titusville Terriers vs. Satellite Scorpions
The Titusville Terriers won the last time they faced the Satellite Scorpions, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Titusville escaped with a win against Satellite by the margin of a single free throw, 32-31.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Titusville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kennedie Sanders, who scored seven points along with three steals. Sanders hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Emonie Moore was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Despite the loss, Satellite still got an impressive performance from Sydney Logsdon, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 54.8% of Satellite's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyna Lora, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Satellite smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Titusville only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Titusville's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12. As for Satellite, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Titusville will look to defend their home court on Friday against Astronaut at 6:00 p.m. Astronaut has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Satellite, they will head out on the road to challenge Merritt Island at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Merritt Island is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
