Lakes had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Grayslake North Knights. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

The win didn't come easy: Grayslake North scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18.

Addison Sundquist paced Lakes' offense, picking up seven kills. Sundquist got some help from Sammi Madsen and her 19 assists. Brynn Skinner controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the defeat, Grayslake North had strong showings from Lucy Roscoe, who had ten digs, and Abby Dorich, who had three digs. Chasity Bates also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Grayslake North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Lakes has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cary-Grove on the 17th. As for Grayslake North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Mundelein on the 15th.
