Tell City dropped their record down to 4-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Hancock County Hornets by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Marksmen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Hancock County, with the victory, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 27th.

For Hancock County's part, the result came thanks to Dec Lewko's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. Lewko also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Hornets are undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-14 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jacob Shultz was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since April 1st. Lane Dixon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Looking ahead, Tell City will be playing at home against Evansville Harrison at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hancock County, they are taking a road trip to take on Daviess County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
