Basketball Recap: Boulder City Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

If Doral Academy Red Rock wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Boulder City, they should've done a better job of containing Sean Pendleton. The Boulder City Eagles blew past the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons 69-45 on Saturday thanks in part to Pendleton, who went 10 of 13 en route to 27 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

Despite the loss, Doral Academy Red Rock saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brennan Cuello went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Cuello. Another player making a difference was Amir Pasha Honari, who posted eight points.

Boulder City has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Boulder City will look to defend their home court on Monday against The Meadows School at 6:30 p.m. Boulder City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will head out to take on Pahrump Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
