Soccer Game Preview: Lafayette vs. Jamestown

Lafayette is 1-8-1 against Jamestown since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rams will challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Lafayette sitting on four straight victories and Jamestown on six.

Lafayette is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Smithfield get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile, Jamestown faced Gloucester in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Dukes by a score of 2-0.

Charlie Patterson and Edwin Flores scored both of Jamestown's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Jamestown's victory bumped their record up to 14-1-3. As for Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Lafayette suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Jamestown in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
