Floresville posted their closest win since February 27th on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pleasanton Eagles 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Tigers/Jaguars: when they faced off against the Eagles on March 5th, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

Floresville's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Macie Talley, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Caleigh Alvarez was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her seven plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Floresville and bumps their season record up to 8-15. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Pleasanton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-10-1.

Floresville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against Devine on the 1st. As for Pleasanton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-4 loss against Uvalde on the 1st.
