Basketball Preview: East Palestine Bulldogs vs. Valley Christian Eagles
East Palestine is 0-7 against the Eagles since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the East Palestine Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Valley Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-51, which was the final score in East Palestine's tilt against the Golden Eagles on Friday. East Palestine has struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Valley Christian was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past the Bears 61-26 at home. Valley Christian pushed the score to 57-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.
East Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Valley Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7.
East Palestine ended up a good deal behind the Eagles in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 63-49. Can East Palestine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
