Soccer Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

South Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairland Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Fairland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in September.

Ezra Young and Israel Schneider scored both of South Point's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Fairland, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coming up, South Point will take on Piketon in a tournament on Thursday. As for Fairland, they will be taking part in a tournament against Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
