Recap: Ronan Chiefs vs. Polson Pirates
The Ronan Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to Polson. Ronan has struggled against Polson recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Polson found their leader in underclassman Rylee Taylor-jefferson, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Taylor-jefferson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahrianna Rushing, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Ronan dropped their record down to 5-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Polson, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Ronan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Polson, they will head out on the road to face off against Whitefish at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Polson is ranked 93rd, while Whitefish is ranked 95th).
