Soccer Recap: Northbrook Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Northbrook kept a clean sheet against Cypress Falls on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cypress Falls Eagles, sneaking past 1-0. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Eagles are ranked 415th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northbrook's one-goal win came courtesy of Kevin Garay, who's now up to five this season.

Northbrook is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. As for Cypress Falls, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6-2.

Northbrook will host Cypress Ridge at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Northbrook will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Cypress Falls, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Cypress Falls duke it out with the Jersey Village at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Falls' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
