Soccer Recap: Vinton-Shellsburg Takes a Loss

Vinton-Shellsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Independence Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that Vinton-Shellsburg have lost by exactly two goals.

Vinton-Shellsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Independence, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

Looking ahead, Vinton-Shellsburg will take on Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marion will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Vinton-Shellsburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Independence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
