After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bloomington South, Bloomington North was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots 56-0. Considering the Cougars' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

John Bargen had a dynamite game, throwing for 273 yards and three TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Bloomington North's leading receiver Rashon English was Bargen's top target yet again, picking up 102 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Bloomington North's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Bloomington North will venture away from home to square off against Jeffersonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they will welcome Columbus North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
