Baseball Recap: Hannibal Triumphs

Hannibal lost to Holt back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Pirates skirted past the Indians 13-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Reid Holliday was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Arthaud, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hannibal was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Hannibal's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Holt, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Hannibal will challenge Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holt, they will welcome North Point at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
