Softball Recap: Rochester Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Rochester and Rossville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Rochester had to settle for second. They lost 9-2 to the Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Zebras have suffered since March 28, 2024.

Jadyn Field made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

With the defeat, Rochester broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-5. As for Rossville, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-5.

Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rossville, they will square off against Central Noble at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
