Jordan and Green Hope are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. Jordan will venture away from home to take on Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jordan's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against East Chapel Hill by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.
Carson Hickey made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other pitching news, Jordan got a great performance from Luke Samples as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Samples has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
Hickey wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Harris Mangum, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Green Hope hadn't done well against Green Level recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Gators. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.
The team relied heavily on Dylan Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Morrow, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.
Jordan's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Green Hope, their record now sits at 5-11.
Jordan skirted past Green Hope 8-7 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Jordan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Green Hope turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
