Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Newman AA's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Non Varsity Opponent came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Newman AA, but Aiden Losiewicz wouldn't allow it. The Newman AA Cardinals had just enough and edged out Non Varsity Opponent 82-79 for which the team can thank Losiewicz, who shot 6-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Riley Deering, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game.

Newman AA is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
