Basketball Recap: Davinci Academy Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Varsity Opponent came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against DaVinci Academy, but Jacob Read wouldn't allow it. The DaVinci Academy Dragons really took it to Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-28 victory thanks in part to Read, who went 14 of 19 on his way to 28 points and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of DaVinci Academy's points.

Another player making a difference was Daxton Chipp, who went 5 for 10 en route to 11 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played.

DaVinci Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
