Baseball Recap: Cloverdale Finds Home Field Redemption Against Upper Lake

There's no place like home for Cloverdale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They never let the Upper Lake Cougars get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cloverdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Axell, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Coby Haug also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Cloverdale's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Upper Lake, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

The Eagles will challenge Clear Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (953 vs. 400). Meanwhile, Upper Lake (ranked 977th) will meet Kelseyville (ranked 441st) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
