Softball Recap: Moscow Takes a Loss

Moscow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-8 to the Boise Brave. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Brave apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Sammy Pfiffner was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Robertson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Moscow's record is now 0-4. As for Boise, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Moscow will square off against Century at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Boise, they will face off against Sandpoint at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Boise is facing Sandpoint at the right time seeing as Sandpoint is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
