Lincoln-Way Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Lincoln-Way West proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Knights 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Ben Joynt looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carson Paulas, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Conor Essenburg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.
