Basketball Recap: Lewis County Piles Up the Points Against Hampshire

While Lewis County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Hampshire Hawks 67-22. That looming 67-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

The win made it two in a row for Lewis County and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for Hampshire, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Lewis County has already played their next contest, a 67-43 victory against East Hickman County on the 20th. As for Hampshire, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
