Richmond is a perfect 10-0 against Scotland since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Fighting Scots at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Richmond is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Lee County on April 10th. The Raiders fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for Richmond in their meetings with Lee County: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Scotland was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Marlboro County. While losing is never fun, Scotland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 445th in North Carolina, while Marlboro County are ranked 145th in South Carolina).

Reagan Strickland and Hannah McLean scored both of Scotland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Scotland's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Richmond, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-1.

Richmond took their win against Scotland in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Scots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
