Baseball Game Preview: Marshall Rams vs. Stevens Falcons

For the second straight game, Marshall will face off against Stevens. The Rams will challenge the Falcons at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Things were looking good for Marshall after they put the first run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Stevens by a score of 3-2.

For Stevens' part, Jeremy Gallardo and Julian Robles dominated on the mound. Gallardo tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits, while Robles tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Stevens saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Gonzales, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Stevens hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Stevens' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-15. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 4-17.
