Softball Recap: Bishop's Knights vs. Liberty Charter Lions

It was a good run, but Bishop unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 13-3 to the Liberty Charter Lions. Bishop's was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Liberty Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March.

Bishop's saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Mafong, who went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. Mafong has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On Liberty Charter's side, Leah Urias was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Urias was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
