Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Bend West). They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over the Nicolet Knights on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won nine in a row.

West Bend West pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Nicolet, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, West Bend West will challenge Green Bay Preble at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nicolet, they will square off against Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
