Soccer Game Preview: Rockingham County vs. McMichael + How To Watch

The Rockingham County Cougars will challenge the McMichael Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rockingham County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Morehead by a score of 2-0. Rockingham County haven't had any issues with Morehead recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Morehead kept up with McMichael until halftime on Monday, but afterwards: not so much. The Phoenix put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. Given McMichael's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Morehead are ranked 558th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

RICHARD CASTANEDA and DAMIAN OLAGUE-LOPEZ scored all three of McMichael's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

McMichael's win bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Rockingham County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7-1.
