Basketball Recap: St. Raymond Boys Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cardinal Hayes

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Raymond Boys). They walked away with an 84-75 win over the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Ravens, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Raymond Boys had a senior duo take command as Brandon Stores, Jr. went 6 for 14 on his way to 21 points and Tai Turnage went 5 of 10 en route to 19 points. The matchup was Stores, Jr.'s fifth in a row with at least ten points. NaJay Bess was another key player, putting up 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Raymond Boys and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Cardinal Hayes, they moved to 7-3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Raymond Boys will square off against Archbishop Stepinac at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Raymond Boys has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
