The New Waverly Bulldogs will take on the Buffalo Bison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for New Waverly's offense. They lost 10-0 to Franklin on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Buffalo and Westwood meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Buffalo never let Westwood get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. The Bison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

Ella Ortiz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Avery Waters and Pari Bharat did most of the damage at the plate: Waters scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Bharat scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
