Basketball Recap: Licking Takes a Loss

If Licking was riding high fresh off their 97-67 takedown of Laquey last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Licking Wildcats received a blow on Friday as they fell 73-59 to the Liberty Eagles. The Wildcats have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Licking's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Liberty, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Licking Wildcats face off against the Houston Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Licking is facing Houston at the right time seeing as Houston is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Liberty has already played their next contest, a 68-64 defeat against Norwood on the 30th.
